School Info

Our School

Our school is situated in the eastern end of the market town of Hexham. Currently we have 132 pupils on roll (including Nursery). This is an ideal size – large enough to have single age classes but small enough for everyone to get to know each other. The school consists of four classes and an Early Years Unit.

Surrounding the school is a large playing field, two playgrounds and a community garden which the children use as an additional curriculum resource. The school enjoys beautiful views over Hexham and beyond.

Our Headteacher is Mrs Justine Overton

School Data and Results
In Hexham First school we have high expectations for all of our pupils and they perform very well in our school.  The key data download in this section shows how children have been performing in the last three years based on the end of Reception and Early Years, the Year 1 Phonics Screening and Key Stage 1 SATs.
